Coming soon the all-new 2020 BMW M8

The all-new 2019 BMW M850i has been available here in North America for a few months and a select few will soon have access to the amazing M8. BMW has stated that we can expect horsepower numbers north of 600 with the usual M-specific optimizations. Expect a more rigid chassis, improved suspension, wider wheelbase, and reduced weight just for starters.

Using carspecs.us 0-60 calculator we dialed in the M850Xi using it’s known curb weight, horsepower, AWD drivetrain and used the DCT trans option. Then we reduced the curb weight of the M850Xi by an estimated 200 lbs, moved the horsepower up to an estimated 620 and came up with our best guess of 3.2 seconds in 0-60 for the in-bound BMW M8. Following the coupe, BMW is slated to bring us the M8 Convertible and what will probably be my favorite, the M8 Gran Coupe. The BMW M8 Competition model will follow as well.
